Nanoparticle Functionalization Services
We offer specialized functionalization of nanoparticles for bioassay development, supporting a range of applications including lateral flow, microfluidic-based, and other test kits.
- Our team ensures precise functionalization to meet your assay’s specific requirements, optimizing performance and reliability.
Nanoparticle Functionalization Services
Mecwins’ scientists are available to assist you in selecting the most suitable nanoparticles to meet your specific requirements. We will collaborate with you to identify the optimal nanoparticles and their characteristics, such as functional groups, based on the intrinsic properties of the molecules to be attached and the intended application of your assay. The number of antibodies attached to the nanoparticle surface can then be calculated and optimized. Our functionalization method is unique in that it can enhance the sensitivity of your assay by up to twofold compared to other techniques.
Nanoparticle Characterization Services
- We provide comprehensive characterization of nanoparticles, including analysis of concentration, size distribution, and aggregation state, ensuring quality and consistency in your nanoparticle preparations.
We offer novel characterization techniques for plasmonic-magnetic nanoparticles [3]
- Additionally, we offer high-resolution SEM (Scanning Electron Microscopy) imaging to provide detailed structural insights.

Quantification of Molecule Concentrations
- We accurately quantify the concentrations of various molecules attached to both surfaces and nanoparticles, such as antibodies, streptavidin, -COOH groups, and more.
- Our services ensure precise measurements, providing you with the confidence to move forward with your research or product development.
Quantification of Molecule Concentrations
Mecwins has developed a range of strategies for characterizing the surface of nanoparticles. It is not always feasible to directly quantify the functional groups on the surface of nanoparticles due to interference from the bulk material of the nanoparticles, such as gold. Mecwins has developed an indirect method that involves measuring the fluorescence of a solution of the same dye before and after it reacts with the nanoparticles. The fluorescent dyes are selected based on the functional group that the customer requires. This characterization allows customers to control the quality of their nanoparticle functionalization and also to assess the variability between different batches of nanoparticles.
Nanometrology of Chemical Surfaces
- Our experts can accurately characterize chemical and biological layers with sub-nanometer resolution, providing critical quality control (QC) data to ensure consistency and reliability in surface functionalization for your applications.
