Protein Immobilization Services
Mecwins has considerable expertise in the immobilization of antibodies of any format, including full-length antibodies, Fabs, and nanobodies, onto an array of surfaces in accordance with the specifications delineated by our customers. Furthermore, our capabilities extend to the attachment of unique tags to antibodies and the development of surface chemistries compatible with them, which facilitate the high orientation of the molecules on the surfaces and, consequently, enhance sensitivity.

Antibody Affinity and Avidity Testing Services
We have conducted KD (equilibrium dissociation constant between antibody and antigen) measurements for over 15 monoclonal antibodies (mAb) from one of our key customers. KD is defined as the ratio of the dissociation rate constant (kon) to the association rate constant (koff) and it represents the equilibrium between an antibody and its antigen. KD and affinity are inversely proportional, i.e. lower KD values indicate a higher antibody affinity. To achieve ultrasensitivity, it is recommended to use high-affinity antibodies with KD values in the picomole to femtomole range.

Antibody Pair Screening Services
We are pleased to offer our customers the option of sandwich pair screening for their molecules. This process entails testing all antibodies as both capture and detection antibodies in all possible combinations to identify the most suitable sandwich pairs. The detection antibodies are correctly identified and labelled (either biotinylated or conjugated to HRP for ELISA assays). An ELISA positive pair is defined as an antibody that produces a specific signal five times above background (as indicated by the green cells in the table). Antibodies that meet the desired specificity requirements are selected for the customer. Additionally, to maximize the potential of your molecules and to improve the sensitivity of your assay (up to an order of magnitude in LLoD), we can develop kits using your antibodies together with our ultra-sensitive AVAC proprietary technology.
