Mecwins announced today that a new patent has been granted by the U.S. Patent Office.
The patent, entitled Biosensor platform and method for simultaneous, multiplexed, ultra-sensitive and high throughput optical detection of biomarkers (US11519843B2), describes a biosensor platform for the simultaneous detection of multiple biomarkers using plasmonic nanoparticles. The platform consists of a biosensor, a broadband illumination source, an optical detector, an autofocus system, and an optical collection system. The system is capable of capturing and analyzing spatially and spectrally resolved signals from each individual nanoparticle and includes translation and processing means for optimal performance. The platform is designed for ultra-sensitive, high-throughput detection.
