We are pleased to announce the publication of an innovative paper entitled “CQD-based electrochemical immunosensor for sensitive D-dimer detection in thrombosis and COVID-19” in the prestigious journal Sensing and Bio-Sensing Research. This work is the result of a collaboration between the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and Mecwins, led by the authors Jillian Gamboa, Carmen Linares, Virginia Cebrián, Hamidreza Enshaei, Óscar Ahumada, Francesc Estrany and Juan Torras.
The study presents an innovative electrochemical biosensor based on carbon quantum dots (CQDs) for the detection of D-dimer, a key biomarker in thrombosis-related diseases and COVID-19 severity. This biosensor provides accurate, rapid and sensitive detection with promising applications in early diagnosis and monitoring.
