MECWINS Welcomes High School Students for an Immersive Research Experience

Students MECWINS

This week, we had the pleasure of hosting four enthusiastic 4th ESO students from Ramiro de Maeztu High School as part of the 4º ESO+Empresa Program, organized by the Madrid Regional Ministry of Education. Launched in 2008-2009 the ESO+Empresa Program bridges the gap between education and the world of work, helping students to make informed decisions about their futures.

During their stay, the students explored the fundamentals of biomarker detection, a key focus of our work at MECWINS. We introduced them to the world of research in the most hands-on way possible – challenging them with a duplex multiplexing experiment. They engaged in theoretical calculations, collaborated in lab work and analyzed their own results, gaining real-world scientific experience.

It’s always a pleasure to welcome such motivated young minds, and it reinforces our decade-long commitment to this initiative. We’re proud to contribute to their journey and inspire the next generation of researchers!
