We’re excited to share the successful completion of one of our first projects under Mecwins’ new Engineering Services initiative!
Our team had the privilege of collaborating with the esteemed Chemical Transducers Group (GTQ) at the Institute of Microelectronics of Barcelona (IMB-CNM), part of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). GTQ is dedicated to developing innovative microelectronic and photonic technologies for analyzing liquid samples, pushing the boundaries of sensor research in fields such as environmental monitoring and biomedical analysis.
For this project, GTQ is deploying a cutting-edge sensor array to perform analytical detections in liquid media.
Mecwins stepped in to design and deliver a durable, waterproof housing that integrates these six sensors along with a reference electrode. Our team used professional CAD tools to engineer the structure, selected rugged 3D-printed polymer materials for fabrication, and handled final assembly steps including watertight sealing and finishing.
We’re grateful to GTQ, especially Cecilia Jiménez-Jorquera and Manuel Gutiérrez Capitán, for trusting us with this important work. It’s been an honor to support their innovative research, and we look forward to seeing the insights this device will help uncover!
