Mecwins awarded a CPP project to advance state-of-the-art diagnostic technologies for immunohistochemistry

We are proud to announce that Mecwins has been granted funding under the Public-Private Collaboration Projects (CPP) program of the Spanish State Research Agency (Agencia Estatal de Investigación – AEI).

The awarded project, known by its acronym HyperSp OCT, brings together a multidisciplinary team combining expertise in nanotechnology, optical imaging, and biomedical research: Mecwins (project coordinator), Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM), and Fundación para la Investigación Biomédica del Hospital Universitario La Princesa (FIBHULP).

Together, these partners aim to develop an innovative platform for the development of next-generation optical and plasmonic tools to study inflammatory processes at the cellular level.

The total budget of the consortium exceeds €1.1 million, combining grants and loans provided through the CPP program, which supports collaborative R&D projects between public research organizations and private companies to foster technological innovation and knowledge transfer.

Over the duration of the project, the consortium will work to advance tools for high-resolution, quantitative analysis of biological tissues — a crucial step toward better diagnostics and personalized medicine.

We are excited to embark on this ambitious project alongside our academic and clinical partners and look forward to sharing future developments and milestones as the research progresses.

Many thanks to our partners UAM and FIBHULP for their collaboration and commitment.
