We are pleased to announce the incorporation of Dr. Juan José González López and Dr. Juan Carlos Ruiz Rodríguez, leading experts in infectious diseases and critical care medicine at Vall d’Hebron University Hospital in Barcelona, as Scientific Advisors.
Their extensive experience will be key in supporting the development of clinically validated digital solutions, particularly for the early detection and management of sepsis—a major global health challenge.
Dr. González López heads the Microbiology Research Group and several key diagnostic and antimicrobial surveillance units at Vall d’Hebron. He is also an Associate Professor at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and part of the national research network CIBERINFEC.
Dr. Ruiz Rodríguez is Clinical Director of the Intensive Care Unit and a principal investigator in the SODIR group, focusing on critically ill patients.
Both doctors are researchers at the Sepsis Bank of Vall d’Hebron, one of only three sepsis biobanks in the world. Through this collaboration, Mecwins will gain access to high-value patient samples for the validation of its technology in the field of sepsis.
