Our general director, Dr. Oscar Ahumada and business development manager, Rosalía Calleja have recently visited Vietnam for a number of commercial actions during the last week of October.

They took the chance to follow up previous conversations with some of the Key research groups in the cantilever sensor area located in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. As usual, a pleasure visiting this wonderful country again.

NANOFORUM 2015

By | 2015, Events, News | No Comments

Milan (Italy) – 29th of September to 2nd of October, 2015

The project nanoforum, the expo-conference specialized in the micro- and nanotech field, made its debut in 2005 with a precise aim: to bring innovation from Research Centers to Companies in order to help them update their products and services through a network of acquaintances and meetings with some of the most excellent experts in the field. The 2015 edition will take place from September 29 to October 2 at Polytecnic University of Milan – Campus Bovisa. This edition inaugurates the second decade of nanoforum, with two parallel sessions: one dedicated to the neophytes in the field and the other one dedicated to those who are already familiar with the subject and want to get some anticipations about Italian and European tenders.

We are proud to participate as exhibitors as well as having the opportunity of giving a couple of talks in different sessions. Our General Manager, Oscar Ahumada, will give a talk about our technology in the conference session dedicated to Nanomedicine. Mecwins’ Business Development Manager, Rosalía Calleja, will talk about Mecwins at Start Ups session dedicated to the presentation of high-tech Start-up working in the field of micro- and nanotechnology.

Business Development in US & Canada

By | 2015, News | No Comments

We have recently visited United States and Canada to introduce our technology to potential customers. Mecwins has installed one machine at Albany in order to show the technology working to the people interested in SCALA.

During this business trip, we have travelled to Bromont (Canada) to visit some research groups at C2MI (MiQro Innovation Collaborative Center) where we could show SCALA working and run some samples from different research groups. We took the opportunity of showing the capabilities of SCALA for MEMS characterization, a key application for the multiple partners of C2MI as Teledyne-Dalsa, Sherbrooke University or IBM. It was a pleasure learning more about the research activities at C2MI and the industrial applications developed inside its laboratory.

Some days after our Canada experience, we travelled to Ithaca (US) to visit some people at Cornell University. A couple of seminars were given and we made some demos of our system. We had the opportunity of visiting the frenetic activity in the clean room of CNF (Cornell Nanoscale Science & Technology Facility) and had productive discussions with CNF Director of Operations Donald Tennant. During our visit to CNF, we also gave a seminar and made a demo of our SCALA platform. You can see more details by clicking here.

A special thanks to our North America representative LaMar Hill, who has supported and helped us during this commercial action.
